Pre- School Gymnastics
Class Information
At Pennine Gymnastics Club, we provide a safe and structured Pre-school program for 2-5 year old's. Lead by passionate and professional coaches, aiming to guide young children in taking their first steps into the world of gymnastics.
Our Pre-school program is designed to develop fundamental physical and social skills, from key developmental movements through gymnastics and play, to learning to follow instructions and take turns in a structured session.
We run two types of session for children of different ages, ability’s and needs, these are called Jumping Joeys and Kangaroo Kids.
Jumping Joeys
Jumping Joeys is a structured parent assisted class aimed at 2 & 3 year olds. These sessions help in developing balance, coordination and basic strength. Parents get hands-on with physically supporting their children. Sessions often consist of fun circuits and games using the whole gym including the bars, beams, trampettes and soft play equipment. There is also an opportunity for free-play at the end of each session as a reward for your little ones hard work.
Kangaroo Kids
Kangaroo Kids is aimed at 3 years to school-aged children and is independent from parents, who can view the sessions from our viewing gallery. The class aims to develop gymnastics specific skills such as forward and backward rolls while learning to work independently of parents. Eventually preparing them to move into our hugely popular recreational sessions when they start school.
Here at PGC, we understand that no two children are the same. The above ages are a guideline to which class your child will attend. When you join the club, we will advise you of which class is most suitable for your child’s age and ability.
